This is a new version of an old painting I did in 2002 called "Adrift". I liked the idea of the early painting but over the years I didn't like the way it was done.

was this a lot of layering for you? seems after a while when im using oils, im just removing paint, and it drives me nuts.

Yes, some layering. I'm not sure why you'd be removing paint unless the layer you're working on isn't completely dry. But I can see how it would be frustrating.
